ControlUpAgent 9.2.0.622, released by ControlUp Technologies Ltd, is a lightweight Windows service that converts any physical or virtual machine into a “managed machine” capable of streaming real-time metrics to the ControlUp console. Once deployed, the agent continuously exposes performance counters for CPU, memory, disk, network, user sessions, processes, and application resource consumption, enabling administrators to correlate data across hundreds of endpoints from a single dashboard. Typical use cases include rapid identification of runaway processes, logon-duration troubleshooting, VDI capacity planning, and automated remediation scripts triggered when thresholds are breached; the same agent works equally well on persistent laptops, RDSH hosts, Citrix Virtual Apps servers, or VMware Horizon desktops. Because the agent operates in user-mode and consumes less than 20 MB RAM, it can be left installed on production systems without impacting end-user experience, while its TLS-encrypted outbound connection eliminates the need to open additional firewall ports. The current 9.2.0.622 build is the eighth public iteration, incorporating cumulative stability fixes and optimizations for Windows 11 and Server 2022. Organizations that standardize on earlier branches can still access the seven previous releases for compatibility testing or gradual roll-outs. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
