CLCL, developed by Nakka, is a lightweight clipboard caching utility designed to extend the standard Windows clipboard by remembering every item copied during a session and making each entry instantly retrievable. Recognised in the System Utilities / Clipboard Tools category, version 2.1.3 accepts data in every clipboard format—plain text, rich text, HTML, images, files and custom objects—so graphic designers assembling mood boards, translators shuttling terminology snippets, accountants copying invoice figures and help-desk staff forwarding canned replies all gain a rolling history that survives accidental overwrites. Templates can be pre-registered and invoked with a user-defined Alt+C pop-up menu whose content, layout, icons and tooltip hints are fully customisable; the menu itself can display thumbnails of copied pictures and can be told to drop excluded formats or to skip specified windows, while per-application paste keys let gamers, coders or spreadsheet users tailor behaviour without leaving the keyboard. Plug-in support written in C or Delphi allows power users to add encryption, incremental search or cloud sync, and complete Unicode handling ensures that Cyrillic, CJK or right-to-left text is preserved intact. Because the program stores clips on disk in a configurable cache directory, sessions can be resumed after reboot, and the automatic paste option can chain successive items for rapid form filling. CLCL 2.1.3 remains the single, mature release, occupying less than a megabyte of memory and running unobtrusively from the system tray. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
