OneMark is a Microsoft OneNote extension developed by Neux that brings native Markdown editing and rendering capabilities to the note-taking platform, enabling users to compose, format, and store content in lightweight Markdown syntax while retaining OneNote’s rich organizational structure. The add-in is currently distributed as version 1.0.2 and has evolved through fifteen successive releases, each refining parser speed, live-preview accuracy, and compatibility with OneNote 2016, OneNote for Windows 10, and OneNote for Microsoft 365. After installation, a new “Markdown” ribbon tab appears inside OneNote; typing or pasting Markdown immediately triggers synchronized two-pane visualization, so headings, bold, italics, code blocks, tables, task lists, and LaTeX math are rendered in place without breaking the original .one file format. The plugin is frequently used by software teams documenting sprint notes, researchers drafting academic notebooks, bloggers collecting article fragments, and students managing lecture outlines, all of whom benefit from Markdown’s portability while still leveraging OneNote’s search, tagging, and cloud sync ecosystem. Because the underlying text remains plain Markdown, notes can later be exported to GitHub, static-site generators, or documentation suites without proprietary lock-in, yet they also remain fully editable inside OneNote for quick WYSIWYG touch-ups. OneMark is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
