Users can maintain multiple accounts in any currency, schedule recurring transactions, tag split bookings, budget by category and generate PDF or CSV reports for tax time; plug-ins extend the core with OFX/QIF import, PayPal synchronization and basic charting. Because the data file is self-contained SQLite, home financiers can keep their registry offline, sync it through their own cloud or even run Grisbi portably from a USB stick on Windows, macOS or Linux. The entire feature set respects open-book transparency: no telemetry, no vendor lock-in, and translations maintained by volunteers in more than twenty languages.
