Versions:
Optimate SOLIDWORKS Plugin, developed by Optimate GmbH, is a CAD utility that embeds the vendor’s cloud-based optimization services directly inside Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS. Once installed, the add-in exposes a dedicated task pane from which designers can launch topology, parametric, and lattice optimization jobs without leaving the familiar 3-D modeling environment. Typical use cases include weight-reduction of machined brackets, stiffness tuning of plastic housings, and rapid exploration of generative designs for cast or additive parts; results are returned as updated SOLIDWORKS bodies or new configuration variants that preserve the original feature tree, allowing seamless continuation of detail drawing and assembly work. The current public release, version 1.15.10, succeeds an earlier 1.x branch and introduces faster mesher initialization, support for mixed solid–shell assemblies, and revised security tokens aligned with Optimate’s latest REST API. Because the plugin acts only as a lightweight client, computation and data storage remain on Optimate’s remote servers, eliminating the need for local solving hardware and keeping the desktop footprint minimal. The software is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
