tgstation-server is a production-scale tool purpose-built for managing servers that run the multiplayer game Space Station 13, which is built on the BYOND platform. Maintained by the volunteer developer collective /tg/station 13, the program automates the entire lifecycle of an SS13 server: it can pull the latest code branches, compile DreamMaker projects, create and migrate databases, monitor running instances, and gracefully restart rounds without manual intervention. System administrators use it to host public shards with hundreds of concurrent players, while individual contributors rely on its continuous-integration features to test pull requests in isolated containers. Version 6.19.2, released as the sixty-first numbered build since the project went open-source, introduces incremental map loading, improved watchdog logging, and tighter GitHub webhook integration, reducing average deployment time from minutes to seconds. Earlier iterations added Docker support, Windows Service wrapping, and a JSON-based configuration API that lets orchestration platforms treat each server as a reproducible unit. The software belongs to the Game Server Management category, yet its architecture—written in .NET 8 and exposing REST endpoints—also makes it suitable for automating any BYOND-powered title that follows a similar round-based structure. Because every release is tagged and containerized, hosts can pin a specific revision or roll back instantly when a new feature misbehaves. tgstation-server is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
