Px 0.10.3, published by genotrance, is a lightweight HTTP(S) proxy server whose single purpose is to let client applications authenticate transparently through corporate NTLM or Kerberos proxies. Designed for enterprise environments where every outbound connection must pass an authenticated gateway, Px sits between local programs and the upstream proxy, intercepting the handshake and completing it on their behalf by means of Windows SSPI. This allows browsers, package managers, IDEs, or any TCP-based tool that lacks native NTLM support to reach external resources without manual credential entry, simply by pointing them at Px’s local port. When run on Windows, the service can leverage single sign-on, automatically using the security token of the currently logged-in user; on Linux, macOS, or non-domain Windows hosts, domain, username, and password can be supplied explicitly in the configuration file. The daemon exposes a standard HTTP proxy interface on localhost, supports both HTTP and HTTPS tunnels, and can be started as a console application or installed as a background Windows service. Since its initial release, two public versions have appeared, with 0.10.3 representing the current stable branch. The software is categorized under Networking/Proxy Tools and is especially useful for developers, DevOps pipelines, and remote workers who need to route Git, Docker, npm, Python pip, or other CLI utilities through a restrictive corporate firewall without modifying each client. Px is available for free on get.nero.com, where downloads are provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
