Hacker News for Command Palette is a lightweight open-source utility published by zadjii that embeds the Hacker News firehose directly inside Windows 11’s built-in Command Palette, letting developers scan, search and launch stories without leaving the keyboard. Once invoked with the standard Win + Shift + P shortcut, the add-on surfaces the latest Show, Ask, Best and Top feeds in a searchable list; arrow keys or typed keywords narrow the results instantly, while Enter opens the selected link in the default browser. Because the module runs inside the palette host process, it consumes negligible RAM, requires no separate window management, and respects the system’s dark or light theme automatically.
